Breeding dogs takes time, patience, a great willingness to learn, the ability to be humble, and sometimes a little luck. Choosing an ethical, reputable breeder is important. The key is to recognize the faults and / or weaknesses in your dogs and in your line, and know how to correct them. The breeder must always keep in mind that there is no perfect dog, and that all dogs have faults. A good breeder is one who studies, reads, watches, and learns from other longtime breeders, and who breeds responsibly. When breeding, a breeder must compare the prospective sire and dam in terms of not only phenotype (physical appearance), but genotype (what is in the pedigree/genes) as well. Good breeders will be focused on providing ample time with the dam (mother) and litter, as well as providing early socialization, before puppies go to new homes. You'll receive full veterinary records and be able to contact their veterinarian if needed. Reputable breeders, do not breed puppies for a profit. They do it for the betterment of the breed, for the love of dogs, and… well… for the fun of it. And they very rarely make a profit on a litter of puppies.

The Great Dane, the tallest dog breed in the world, is a gentle giant who is known for their loyalty, intelligence, and trainability. One of our Danes is imported directly from Austria. Another, the son of Poland import. The others have been acquired from from excellent, reputable breeders in South Carolina, Mississippi and Illinois who we very much trust and respect. We strive to create the best temperament because these dogs are loved for their joyful spirits and affectionate personalities. Each will have all appropriate vaccinations and will have a two-year health certificate. Our Great Danes have been health tested, AKC genetic tested and color tested. This powerful, giant breed is the picture of elegance and balance, with the smooth and easy stride of born nobleman. However, goofy at times. And it seems they do it on purpose.
A healthy diet is crucial for your Great Dane’s overall health, especially during puppyhood. Great Dane puppies, require special nutrition to prevent them from growing too quickly. Excessive growth can lead to musculoskeletal diseases, such as dysplasia, osteochondrosis, and hypertrophic osteodystrophy.

If you are looking for a forever friend, then look no further than at our program. Great Danes are a true indoor dog, who just wants to be part of the family. Housetraining is easy, and they love attention. Despite their sweet nature, Great Danes are alert home guardians. Just the sight of these gentle giants is usually enough to make intruders think twice. But those foolish enough to mistake the breed's friendliness for softness will meet a powerful foe of true courage and spirit. Patient with kids, Danes are people pleasers who make friends easily. In general, Great Danes don't tend to bark much. They may alert their owners to strangers outside the house or unusual circumstances, but with basic training to discourage barking as puppies, this breed is not known to develop loud habits. As far as colors to expect from our program? Depends on timing but you can expect to find Mantles (Standard Black), Blue Mantles, Harlequin, Blue Harlequin, Piebalds (Standard Black), Blue Piebalds, Blue, Black & Merle.
