Zorro was the one that started it all. He was whelped in Georgia December 1, 2021. He is full 100% European Mantle Great Dane. His dad Max was a direct import from Poland. Before we decided to breed him we looked into showing him because he was perfect in every way. Perfect structure and just a specimen of a Great Dane with a gorgeous thick head. When we figured out how much time it takes to stay involved and show a dog, we decided that was not for us. But we have zero doubt he would take home many championships had we gone this route. The pictures shown on this site were taken in 2023 so he has put on some healthy weight now that he is almost 3 years old as of this writing. He has been fully health tested and has passed all with flying colors. Currently he weighs about 163 pounds and is roughly 34+ inches at the withers.
He is full of life and happiness. In a home with 7 danes, the dynamic is fun to watch. Zorro is the leader of the pack without a doubt and while he used to be more ready to chase deer and squirrels on the property he has relinquished this duty to his best lady Xena. He now sits proud on the top of the hill and does more observing than anything. His favorite thing while outside now is to just watch birds and planes fly around in the sky. He's a big affectionate lap dog in the house. If the others barge in and demand attention from us hoomans, he goes to the other side of the couch and puts on a sad pouty face.
He has already sired litter A & litter B with his best girl Xena Dream. Together they have produced absolutely stunning litters and we have been thrilled to watch his children grow into healthy happy pups located throughout 10 plus states from Georgia to Maryland and as far west as Montana. Zorro was one lonely pup. It was very obvious he needed a playmate. We scoured the country for a reputable breeder, champion lines and health number 1 on the list. Xena Dream was a dream pup. She had perfect harlequin markings, parents health tested with a champion bloodline to boot. When she was approaching two years old we had her health tested and she was perfection. We didn't expect anything less. As far as size & type, Xena is about 75% European and 25% American. She is one of the most solid females pound for pound we have. She weighs in at 145 to 150 lbs and is 32" at the withers. Not small at all.
She is a diva plain and simple. She is the queen of the house and all the males love her and the females think of her as mommy. She gets along so well and plays hard. She is full of joy at all times. She's not quite as much of a lap dog but she does love affection from us. She loves being pet but she doesn't come and invade our personal space and she kind of prefers to rest peacefully by our sides. She gets along with absolutely everyone and one of her favorite things to go out shopping with mom. She thrives on the attention in public. And boy does she have a proud strut to her like no other. It's very obvious she comes from show lines. It's a shame we don't have the time to show her. Again, like her main man Zorro, no doubt she would dominate in the arena.
Zorro. Xena is his queen. Seeing them play and even hunt deer and squirrel together is breathtaking. No animals have been harmed although Zorro was sprayed by a skunk. They have produced absolutely stunning litters. Litter A is currently turning 1 year old, November 2024. Litter B is about 5 months old. Their children live across 7 states.
Drago hails from Austria and the Austria Great Stars program. Obviously he is 100% European. Sadly Austria Great Stars have retired but we were lucky enough to get him from their last litter. His dad is "Born To Win". He is a Eroupean Grand Champion. His mother also has Grand Champions on her side. He has been health tested and he's got a clean bill of health. He weighs around 185 to 190 lbs and is 36" at the withers. Believe it or not he would have been bigger but he had three surgeries on his stomach and intestines at 9 months and just over a year old during his serious growth stages. He ate a toy rope to start, then he found someone's sock. Thank the Lord we were able to save him & Thank goodness he has grown out of that stage. We love him DEARLY!!
He is a shadow. He is absolutely the most demanding of one's affection but then again that is typical of Danes, especially the Europeans. He will sit on everyones lap, the stairs, the other dogs heads. He is extremely powerful but he is the most gentle and loving boy. He grooms all the other dogs and licks their eyes, faces, drool you name it. He gets most excited when daddy or mommy comes home or when it's time to eat. He is a baby that loves the attention when out on the town. The reactions from people in town are hilarious. He's typically the biggest dog they have ever seen. But he is a baby through and through. We are super excited to see what he produces.
Reign. There colors go together like peas and carrots. They about look each eye to eye as they are both tall. They love each other very much and they did grow up together from about 16 weeks and 10 weeks old. Drago carries pie, blue & harl of course while Reign carries Pie and Harlequin. We expect standard piebald, blue piebald, Harlequin, blue Harelquin and mantles. Now Uma who is 1 years old is also suitable for pairing with Drago in a year from now!! 6/13/26 Update... Good and bad news. Start with the bad. Drago as you've seen in the Bio is always getting into trouble. Last year he sat on a splinter or a brier and it got lodged in his scrotum. Swelled to basketball size before we could get the antibiotics working. December 2025 he was tested again and the swimmers that were there are no longer present. Our reproductive vet tried everything and just realized he had cysts in his prostrate from the incident last year. Being a Virginia Tech grad, she referred us to there research program. He has made multiple visits and they performed a first ever done procedure in the world outside of the Italian research center that used the process on 48 male dogs. They had 100% success with cleaning a prostrate in a non-invasive manner. So the clock is ticking and Drago may be back to full reproductive health by end of 2026. He will now be in the Vetinarian Medical Journal. Did I tell you he was special? Well now you know exactly what we mean.
Reign is a big beauty that came to us from Land De Black & White out of Mississippi. She has amazing genes from those such as "Lycan The Legend" of Lauer Danes and Monte of Chicago Danes! The doctor has called her a swiss army knife with her perfect hips. After 3 + years she finally became pregnant!! We honestly counted her out on producing but she has surprised us and she is now a momma!! She is a beauty and a behemoth of a female great dane. She is over 36" tall at the withers & weighs 185 lbs pre pregnancy!! Absolutely as big as females come. People in Lowes, Home Depot or Tractor Supply as us what kind of dog she is. I tell them a Greyhound. They look at me puzzled before I joke that she's a Greyhound Bus due to here length and passengers she can carry.
She is an absolute baby and gentle giant in every sense of the word. She is always seeking love and affection. She plays hard with her buddies and loves laying in the sun outside. She's usually the last one that wants to come inside. She is a silly girl and loves to drink out of the faucet and dunk her head in a large bowl of water. Ice is one of her favorite treats. Yes she figured out the ice maker as well. She's the only one that will go near a swimming pool and has occasionally jumped in with daddy. She is such blessing to our program!
We can't believe she has finally entered this stage. She is a very late bloomer. But Thank God she has begun. Her and other large European males should make GIANT DREAM BABIES!! Don't let the name or the stature fool you- Vader is the definition of a of a gentle giant. He comes from remarkable lines from Chicago Danes. Valerie Engel's program has produced big beautiful dogs , and she certainly hit a huge homerun with this special fella. His lineage goes hand in hand with some of Melissa Lauer's, Lauer Danes legends as well! Vader is obviously a "Heavy Euro" type Great Dane. At the time of this writing, he is as tall as they come. He stands 38" at the withers. He currently weighs in at 190 lbs at only 2 1/2 years old. There is no doubt he will be our first 200 lb dane. As he's becoming an adult he's turned into the dream dane we have always dreamed about owning and taking care of. We can't wait to see what he produces with future dams.
Vader's heart is much larger than his frame as he carries himself with the quiet wisdom of an old soul. Sweetest boy you'll ever meet, perfectly content to lounge the day away with a blanket he would love to suck on. When it's time to play, his puppy spirit shines. He is incredibly gentle with his furry friends, puppies included. He greets every human he's ever met with so much reserved excitement and the yearning to lean on their leg before even learning about them. Also, you would think him and another large in tact male would create some dangerous situations but that is far from the case. They might get a little mouthy with each other when females are in heat but they are the biggest and best of friends. They lick each others eye goobers and rest their heads on each others backs as they watch most of the girls hunt the property for skunks, squirrels and deer.
We own a blue European Dane named Aryah and Xena is also possible for her final litter. Aryah is 2 years old now and this may be Vader's first assignment. Other potential future pairings are Uriel, Uma and Pegasus. Since Vader carries only blue and pie he can pair with most of our females. Stay tuned for results on fertility testing.
Very proud to say this beauty was produced by Field of Dream Danes way back from Litter A between Xena and Zorro. She has so much of both of them. The best. She is an avid hunter like here momma and of course a big cuddle bug indoors. When she has had enough love she loves playing and chasing her best freind Aryah who act and appear to be twins. Oh, and she loves the boys just like Aryah. They don't fight over them. They share everything. In fact, Aryah's milk is not coming in quick enough so she has offered to nurse a few of Aryah's puppies and Aryah seems to be okay with it. She stands 33.5" at the withers. She weighs in at 145 lbs at only 2 1/2 years old. She has alot more size to put on her frame when she slows down this year. We are proud to announce Kassi has produced her first beautiful litter. Litter "E" as of this writing 6/13/2026!
As she's becoming an adult she's turning out just like Xena. Wild and energetic at first in her teen years (1 through 2 for us) and becoming calm, loving crazed and just wanting a couch and affection. She is incredibly playful but gentle enough and so silly with her furry friends, and yes puppies included as well. She has been socialized a great amount and while once leary of people for the first few minutes, she now greets every human with calm excitement and eagerness to please and get head rubs, neck scratches or belly rubs.
Kassi carries harlequin and merle like her momma, so naturally it's always going to be a harlequin male. For her recent litter E on the ground this summer, she paired with "Elvis" the King of BBQ City Danes! Beautiful tall, 37" European who is 175lbs at only a year and half old. Their babies are gorgeous! Not quite a week old yet. Kassi smashed it like her momma with a great whelp. Being a first time mom we never know how they are going to whelp, but she seemed to know exactly what to do and needed very little assistance from us. Future pairings could always involve our Drago or other outside stud dogs such as Elvis. With the litter she just had I don't see why we wouldn't just use Elvis from now on. He's magnificient in beauty, size and demeanor. Kassi is alot like her momma Xena. While they have more of an American looking body, they have alot of European lines and they produce much larger European danes than themselves. Most of Xena's A, B litters are over 165 lbs and a few are over 200 lbs in their 2 year old timeline. And litter C puppies are very large at 16 weeks old near or over 70 lbs. All while maintaining excellent health and structure and ready for the show ring if one has the time and energy to travel the country.
She is an amazing dane. Her lines are filled with heavy europeans like Austria Great Stars (where Drago comes from) and Chicago Danes. She's not a big eater, just a real female if you know what we mean. She'd be the model type if she were human. She stands 33.5" at the withers. She weighs in at 130 lbs at only 2 1/2 years old. She has alot more size to put on her frame when she slows down this year and starts to actually eat. We are proud to announce Aryah has produced her first beautiful litter. Litter "D" as of this writing 6/13/2026!
She is the eptiomy of a gentle giant. Shy but so loving when she warms up. She melts in everyones hands when she trusts you. She clings to everyone and demands you don't stop paying her attention once you give it. She will paw you when you direct your attention to another dane. We call her Eoria which is a mix of Winnie the Pooh's Eeyore and of course her real name. Why? that's just her demeanor. The biggest loving sweetheart. When she has had enough love she loves playing and chasing her best freind Kassi who act and appear to be twins. Oh, and she loves the boys. As a momma, oh my goodness she's a natural nurturer. She loves her babies so much, does heat counts, cleans them, doesn't leave their site for more than 30 seconds to go potty. Her puppies will naturally have that nurutured demeanor.

Their babies are here and thriving! One week old today as of 6/13/2026. Future pairings could always involve our Drago, Vader or other outside stud dogs such as Lennox of Lauer Danes.
